Q: Are you QBCC licensed?

Q: Do you offer a workmanship warranty?
Yes. Every completed job comes with a workmanship warranty. If something isn't right, we'll fix it — no arguments.
Q: Do you use subcontractors?
No. Sean Kennedy does the work himself on every job. That's the whole point. When you hire Quality Aussie Tiler, you get the owner on the tools, every day, until the job is done.
Pricing Questions
Q: How much does a bathroom retile cost?
Bathroom retiles in Brisbane typically start from around $3,500–$5,000 for a standard ensuite (tiles only, no waterproofing or demo). A full bathroom renovation including waterproofing, demo, and premium large-format tiles can range from $8,000–$20,000+ depending on size, tile selection, and complexity. We provide detailed, itemised quotes so you know exactly what you're paying for.
Q: How much does waterproofing cost?
Waterproofing a standard shower recess typically costs $1000-$1800, including the waterproofing membrane and certification. This is a non-negotiable step — skipping it or doing it poorly leads to costly structural damage down the track.
Q: How much do large-format tiles cost to install?
Large-format tile installation (600x1200) is more labour-intensive than standard tiles due to the weight, cutting precision, and substrate preparation required. Expect to pay a premium of 20–40% over standard tile installation rates. The result, however, is dramatically better — fewer grout lines, a cleaner look, and a more luxurious finish.
Q: Do you supply tiles or just install?
We install tiles supplied by you. We're happy to recommend suppliers and tile selections based on your budget and style — just ask. Keeping supply and installation separate means you have full control over your tile budget.
Q: Do you provide free quotes?
Yes. All quotes are free, on-site, and obligation-free. Call 0458 668 315 or submit an enquiry online to book yours.
Tile & Specialisation Questions
Q: Can you install large-format tiles (600x1200, 1200x2400)?
Yes — this is one of our specialities. Large-format tiles require precise substrate preparation, back-buttering technique, and careful levelling. Done right, they look extraordinary. We've installed them in dozens of Brisbane bathrooms.
Q: Can you tile with natural stone?
Yes. We work with marble, travertine, limestone, slate, and other natural stone materials. Natural stone requires specific adhesives, sealing, and care — we know the process inside out.
Q: Can you create a frameless shower niche?
Yes. Frameless niches are one of the most popular requests we get — and one of the most satisfying to build. They require precise waterproofing and tiling to look seamless. We do them regularly.
Q: Can you do herringbone or other pattern layouts?
Yes. Herringbone, chevron, stacked, offset, and other pattern layouts are all within our capability. Pattern work takes more time and skill — and it shows in the finished result.
Q: Can you do full-height wall tiling?
Yes. Full-height tiling is a hallmark of premium bathroom design. It makes spaces feel larger, cleaner, and more luxurious. We do it regularly across Brisbane.
Q: Can you do fluted tile feature walls?
Yes. Fluted tiles are having a moment in premium bathroom design right now — and for good reason. We've installed them in a number of recent projects and the results are stunning.
Process Questions
Q: What does your process look like?
1. Free on-site consultation and quote. 2. Detailed, itemised quote provided in writing. 3. Waterproofing applied and certified provide once final payment received. 4. Tile installation — owner on-site every day. 5. Final walk-through with you to confirm everything meets your expectations. We don't consider a job done until you're completely satisfied.
Q: How long does a bathroom retile take?
A standard bathroom retile typically takes 3–5 days. Larger bathrooms, complex patterns, or natural stone work may take longer. We'll give you a realistic timeframe in your quote — and we stick to it.
Q: Do I need to be home during the work?
Not necessarily. Many clients give us access and check in at the end of each day. We'll keep you updated throughout the job and flag anything that needs your input.
